A Note on Ovid’s Keyholes
Collaboration enables us to produce work that we wouldn’t make individually. As a multimedia artist, Christine is constantly producing images—photos, rubbings, sketches, etc—as a continuing practice whether or not a commission or particular work is in view. As a poet who rejects ideas of poetry as autobiography or observation, I’m always happy to receive new stimuli. Creativity flourishes when new relationships are made possible, boundaries crossed, and lines of communication opened up.
Ovid’s Keyholes has its roots in one of our favourite places: the medieval town of Auzon in the Auvergne region of France. When you know that the church has a font and altar dating from the fifth century then the ancient world of myth becomes almost tangible. Christine’s rubbings of medieval doors on Rue Longue—one of Auzon’s ancient streets—combine with my enduring interest in Ovid’s Metamorphoses to uncover a myth that might be buried there.

Some exciting news: Diane DiPrima’s work will be featured in a new Ahadada project in the near future. Just got word a few minutes ago! Thanks Diane!
Needless to say, I’ve always been a fan of DiPrima’s writing.
In addition, we’re happy to announce that Bruna Mori will join our online chapbook authors.

Many, many, many thanks to my friends Ingvar Loco Nordin and Ralph Lichtensteiger for their help!
Loco created a Jesse Glass homepage that features conceptual pieces, poetry, links, and visual poetry. Visit the site by click here. Loco is working on a review of the opera that Arturas Bumsteinas and I recently finished. More on that subject later.
Ralph Lichtensteiger, the experimental composer/performer is broadcasting an interesting program of music, sound-works and spoken word the month of August as he does every month. This one, however, is of particular interest because it features work from myself (including spoken/sung/chanted versions of Mans’ Wows)and my friend Alan Sondheim among many many luminaries. Thanks so much!
