Yet another gift was given to me back in December, and that was the chance to renew my connection with Judith Skillman and to actually(split infinitive with three exclamation points warranted)see!!! this wonderful person again at the Ahadada Beyond Baroque get together in Venice Beach. The last time I’d seen Judith was in pre-disco 1973 when we were both well on our way to whatever it is we’ve turned out to be. In Judith’s case that whatever it was entailed becoming an immensely accomplished poet, and winner of awards from The Academy of American Poets (Mathieu King Fund Award), the Centrum Foundation, and the King County Arts Commission in Washington State. Moreover, Judith is the author of several beautiful books including Beethoven and the Birds, Storm, and Opalescence, all of which come highly recommended from this correspondent.
