We love all things Beddoes and the Thomas Lovell Beddoes Society (yes, they even have meetings!) managed by John Beddoes is jam-packed with great items concerning the author of Death’s Jest Book, the Younger Brother, etc., his doctor father (a friend of Coleridge’s and a poet in his own right), and Maria Edgeworth, TLB’s aunt. A fellow Beddoes admirer, Alan Halsey, recites the poet’s work wearing an uncanny, digitized mask of the young TLB with shorn hair on YouTube, and a host of other vaguely disturbing Beddoes items, lists, and analyses are currently creeping around the Internet.
